An itinerant project
activating public spaces
The project brings public spaces to life through site-specific performances and participatory activities, connecting with organizers, artists, and audiences in Pori, Tallinn, and Varnsdorf. Through collaboration, we raise recognition and quality of these performances in the Nordic region and beyond.
Key Objectives
Connect international partners working with performance in public spaces
Develop the local public space scene using the international dimension as a catalyst
Promote the recognition of performances in public spaces by official entities and the general public
Support the development of the local scenes and artists working with public spaces
Exchange and learn from a multitude of contexts, challenges and artistic/political approaches
Activities
React will present performances in public spaces, open to everyone, along with other activities that will engage the community, artists, and policymakers at each festival. The performance will serve as a ”catalyst” to spark discussion and the learning process, connecting with other events such as workshops and seminars.
All partners will be present at each event, enriching the overall experience and learning outcomes.
